Suzy Wurtz (she/her) is a working-class organizer and communications professional living and working in rural Lancaster County, Pennsylvania.

Suzy’s organizing and political theory was formed while organizing for economic, political, and social change in rural and urban areas. Central to her core principles is a vision that creating political and social change is up to all of us. She approaches organizing with the belief that everyday people are their own best champions, and that our common values can overcome our differences. Moreover, her experience with navigating personal hardships as a working-class mother has resulted in a deep understanding to our connected struggle for a more just society.


Suzy’s work has been featured in local, state, and national campaigns and publications. Her work has been part of winning campaigns in areas with a history of political and civic atrophy, and has appeared in research papers. Suzy has worked with various organizations and elected officials to pass policies that benefit working people.
